The team of WhoIsBehind.com is not part of a hosting company, so we’re an independent business.

We have been active in the domain name business since 1999, and thus are very familiar with everything that is going on. After the registration of several domain names at a couple of domain hosting services we noticed something. There is actually no place on the internet where you can see immediately which domain names you’ve registered, and where you can purchase a domain name for the lowest prize. Only in the Netherlands there are already 1.300 active hosting companies. We noticed that we were constantly too late when one of our domain names expired. We had to relocate the domain name to another website address, but in many cases we did not have enough time anymore. We also did not have a good overview of the places that offer the cheapest registration of domain names. Sometimes these hosting websites also offer a great discount for the very first year. Another practical problem emerged as well. For a couple of years our domain names were registered at several hosting parties. However, sometimes we didn’t know anymore where some of our domain names could be found. There were simply too many of them.

The fact that we did not have an overview made us think. We decided to build a system for ourselves that gave us a good overview of all our domain names. Suddenly we thought: ‘why should we keep this great system only for our own benefit?’. So we decided to show the system to other people with domain names. They were very enthusiastic about it. In the end we decided to make our system available to the public on this website, WhoisBehind.com. So from now on everyone can use it!
Besides offering our very practical system, we also like to send you a notification when a registrar offers a nice discount. Obviously we don’t want to e-mail you that much, because we know how annoying that can be. We will also update a blog with interesting information about domain names and hosting regularly.
